Competitions

Each of our athletes has the opportunity to compete against other Special Olympics athletes at the county and state level. If they choose, they can compete at the Special Olympics Pennsylvania Winter Games and the Ice World competition. Our most competitive skaters also enjoy competing at local ISI competitions that host Special Olympics events.

Special Olympics Winter Games in Pennsylvania: march 7-8, 2020

At the Winter Games in Pennsylvania, over 350 athletes and 150 coaches gather to participate in a three day event of competitions, ceremonies, and events. Athletes from Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, and Pennsylvania are cheered on as weeks of hard work and practice come together in the form of programs and compulsory events. The Winter Games are a heartwarming time of unity and fun that many of our team members excitedly await throughout the season. Social events like the opening ceremonies, victory dance and luncheons create a feeling of solidarity among everyone involved, but especially among the athletes.
